* Eat meals plain (i.e. few condiments, if any)
* Know when to stop eating- Be selective with your drinks
* Drink lots of water
* Walk regularly
* Avoid sweetened food

When you get to the meal plans you see there are two choices; vegetarian and regular. Next, you choose your 14 favorite foods from a selection of many, and it’s from these favorite foods you chose your 11 daily meal plans are created. Quite ingenious, really.

The meals are very basic, without strict guidelines, all you have to do is stick the 10 basic rules of fat loss.

After 11 days of planned meals you are then allowed 3 days of cheat meals, where you can eat whatever you want. Again, ingenious.

Why ingenious? Well, the diet itself can’t be called low carb or low fat. The way it is structured you will have a carb meal one day, a protein meal the next, and then a carb+protein the day after that. So your body is being given a variety of different things over the space of each 11 day period with a lot of latitude for how meals are prepared.

As such your body is not being deprived of anything and never allowed to develop any cravings. There are plenty of fats, from eggs, chicken breast, cottage cheese and nuts. You even get to drink a glass of wine each day.

The vegetarian option has a lot of soy products to substitute for the meats, as well as a higher proportion of nuts in each meal.

While this colorie shifting diet looks a little kooky from how it’s presented, it’s actually one of the more well thought out and intelligently structured programs available.

There’s no calorie counting required, you eat until you are satiated. The foods are those you like and over the space of 11 days you eat a broad selection, and then you eat whatever you want for three days. There’s not much here to trip you up.

This may not work for everyone but if you are currently eating a high fat diet with a lot of processed foods Fat Loss 4 Idiots is certainly a diet that will transition you into a healthy eating pattern without demanding much from you.
